Construction Foreman Job at 5 Strong Construction in Hermitage

Job Summary:

The Construction Foreman oversees and coordinates daily construction activities on commercial job sites. This role ensures that work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards. The Construction Foreman acts as the main point of contact between field crews, subcontractors, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct construction crews and subcontractors on commercial projects.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to meet project deadlines.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures, always ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Inspect work for quality and adherence to plans, specifications, and codes.
• Communicates progress, issues, and needs to the Project Manager/Superintendent.
• Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and equipment.
• Assist in interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications for workers.
• Monitor and maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization.
• Resolve on-site conflicts or issues to avoid delays and ensure smooth operations.
• Train and mentor crew members to improve performance and develop skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
