The individual should have experience performing site visits, condition assessments and documenting findings, confirming the scope of work, analysis and evaluation of estimated repair and replacement costs for commercial, residential, industrial, marine and inland structures.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate conceptual and detailed repair estimates for scope and pricing accuracy.
- Understanding of historical data and pricing for the development and or evaluation of repair and replacement cost estimates.
- Assist in the preparation of work scopes, instructions to bidders, bid forms or solicitation of relevant information, as needed.
- Direct and indirect cost assessment of damages due to delay and/or inefficiencies in the project
- Review scope changes, evaluation of change orders and Requests for Information
- Ability to read drawings and specifications, with an understanding of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, as well as the ability to identify/anticipate missing information.
- Knowledge of various building systems, construction means and methods.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, construction engineering or a similar field
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience working with the different phases of a construction project
- Proven analytical and interpretive skills in preparing comprehensive and accurate construction cost estimates (detailed and conceptual)
- Strong project management skills.
- High level of quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Ability to track and manage workflow
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
