Recovery Specialist I
Job Category: ERM Location: Knoxville, TN 37922, USA Position Type: Full-Time Work Schedule: Hybrid This is a hybrid remote position and will require the selected candidate to work onsite 2-3 days per week at our Northshore office (2077 Town Center Blvd Knoxville, TN 37922). Role: The Recovery Specialist I is responsible for collecting charged off payments and providing member service regarding collection issues. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Performs outbound calls on charged off members, service inbound calls, accurately documents member interactions, payment arrangements, negotiates settlements, and action plans in the core collection platform. Skip traces for members that the Credit Union hasn't been successful in reaching; reviews loan documentation, leverages skip trace platforms, searches for assets, and references prior collection notes in an effort to reach the member. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Experience: Six months or more of collections experience, processing transactions and delivering customer/member service in a banking or credit union environment required. Education: A high school diploma or GED required.
