Position Summary: A Project Manager (PM) is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in administration of projects as assigned, including, but not limited to, capital improvement, facility maintenance, facility expansion and Tenant driven activities. The PM provides contract administration and scheduling coordination with AATC departments and stakeholders to ensure work is performed with minimal impact on business. The PM participates as a team member on various capital and tenant improvements, represents AATC and its Shareholders, tracks and reports issues and milestone completion, ensures readiness activities are completed prior to substantial completion or space activation, and collects and provides project turnover documentation to appropriate departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of AATC and Department of Aviation (DOA) design standards and specifications required to administer projects.
  • Effectively plan projects by developing scope, budget and schedule to deliver the desired outcomes.
  • In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or contractors with appropriate skills for the project activities.
  • Execute projects according to approved plans, policies and procedures. Manage project staff and/or contractors ensuring quality standards are met for all project deliverables.
  • Document and secure all project information.
  • Establish and maintain a communication schedule to update all identified stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project deliverables, lessons learned, and risk mitigation strategies deployed.
  • Provide project turnover documentation to appropriate departments.

Capital and Tenant Projects

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of design standards and specifications required to support the projects.
  • Review internal and external designs and drawings for completeness and consistency, and provide comments per DOA design review processes. Ensure AATC design requirements and standards are addressed.
  • Track and communicate current scope and schedule of all phases of projects to AATC Management and departments.
  • Assist in coordinating project activities and operational impacts with the project team, stakeholders and the airport community.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the projects.
  • Identify issues and mitigate risk to the operation.
  • Review the quality of the work completed to ensure HJAIA and AATC project standards are met/exceeded. Report noted discrepancies through established communication protocols.
  • Receive and distribute project turnover documentation to appropriate departments.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, building construction, engineering, business, or related field; MBA a plus. In lieu of education, 6 to 8 years of applicable job experience and field-specific training.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience for a major commercial construction contractor or for a commercial building maintenance program, or comparable position.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of documented Project Management experience using PMI guidelines.
  • Project Management certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the construction delivery process and interpreting, enforcing and managing construction documents; CDT or CCCA from CSI is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass requirements for ATL badge with customs seal, including a 10-year background search by fingerprint analysis.
