We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a reputable, privately owned, and well-established real estate firm. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic team in a role that combines core accounting functions with support for financial reporting and audits.
The ideal candidate will have 45 years of accounting experience, preferably within the real estate industry. Proficiency in Advanced Excel and experience with MRI Software are strongly preferred. A solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Record and process financial transactions, including journal entries, trial balances, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, AP/AR, general ledger) and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support cost control and decision-making.
- Support financial reporting processes through detailed revenue and expense analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Assist with external audits and prepare documentation for tax filings and financial reporting.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proficient in accounting software; experience with MRI Software is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis tools).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and maintain confidentiality.
