Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and supporting the monthly close process. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and other departments to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Salary
Base pay range: $68,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support the month-end and year-end close process.
- Generate and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other required reports.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports.
- Support the preparation of government filings, tax-related documentation, and financial reports.
- Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with State, Federal, and GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to track revenues, expenses, payroll distributions, and allocations to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing best practices within the accounting function.
- Mentor junior staff and provide support on accounting processes as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- 2+ years of accounting experience required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
