The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of global payroll for team members while maintaining compliance with "in country" federal, province/state, and local regulations. Key duties will include preparing and reviewing payroll reports, resolving discrepancies, maintaining payroll records, and responding to HR Business Partner and team member inquiries. And working with Third Party Payroll Providers. Job Description
Process regular payroll cycles, including timekeeping inputs, deductions and adjustments. Review payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Maintain payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Respond to HR Business Partner and team member inquiries regarding payroll, deductions and tax calculations. Ensure compliance with "in country" federal, province/state, and local regulations related to payroll calculation. Willingness to learn about global payroll and countries located in the regions of APAC, including China, LATAM, and EMEA. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams for reporting and audits as needed. Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED, required. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CPP) certification(s), preferred. Experience
3-5 years related experience in U.S., and/or international payroll processing and/or payroll tax compliance or similar role, required; great opportunity to expand knowledge worldwide. Familiarity with “in country” federal, province/state and local payroll regulations and tax laws and willingness to learn and grow with regards to countries outside of current expertise. Dayforce and Workday experience preferred but not required. Skills
Excellent PC skills in Windows, Word, and Excel, required. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and timekeeping tools (ADP, Workday, Dayforce, Kronos) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, required. Attention to detail and accuracy, required. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, required. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
