Overview

The Communications Manager leads strategic communications through storytelling, earned media, and influencer relations. They create marketing content to reach and engage new consumers and lead strategy and execution for communications across the region for their portfolios. The role positions and delivers effective messages across third-party and owned media channels (social media, web, TV, radio, and print) to enhance the brand image and keep Red Bull relevant for target audiences. The Communications Manager acts as the "conductor of the orchestra" by collaborating with cross-functional experts in our media network to lead projects and implement Paid, Earned, Managed & Owned (PEMO) plans within sports, culture, brand projects, content initiatives, and beverage product innovations. They take responsibility for earned media activation by building relationships through traditional third-party outlets and social influencer amplification. They represent Red Bulls voice with consumers and ensure consistent representation of the brand in all Marketing, Media Network, and Communication activations. Responsibilities

Ensure that regional communication plans utilize effective media tactics to drive earned media coverage, traditional and earned social media, reaching new consumers daily across the portfolios managed. Act as the media network lead for regional marketing events and activations, assembling the Media Captains team and developing the complete PEMO plan for each project. The plan must be approved by Santa Monica communications and programming. Serve as the central point of contact for media-related projects within their portfolio and lead certain portfolios in the region. Gain in-depth understanding of local consumers' media consumption habits to create efficient and effective comprehensive plans for the region's marketing activities. Develop a strong network of editors, journalists, freelance writers, social media producers, and photographers to bring content to life. Collaborate with field marketing and regional marketing teams to identify ideas with media potential and work with Santa Monica experts to transform ideas into fully developed projects or media products. Manage ongoing activities such as athlete stories and national year-long campaigns; work with media relations to pitch to major national media outlets, both traditional and social. Coordinate daily engagement with consumers through earned social outreach, in collaboration with production, creator marketing, and sports marketing. Define objectives, goals, messages, and strategies for each project; determine suitable media amplification channels; act as Media Captain or communications lead as required. Serve as the Red Bull Media Liaison in the region, identifying stories and media opportunities that resonate with regional audiences. Measure media outcomes through post-investment reviews (PIR) and share learnings with Media Network and marketing teams; keep SAMO informed of opportunities for national and global enhancement. Act as the main point of contact for media inquiries, assist the field by providing access to agencies, videographers, photographers, and media production companies, and coach/guide field teams as needed. The base salary range is $85,360 - $128,040 plus cash incentives. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, 401k match, paid time off, holiday schedule, and additional benefits.
