Position Summary: Based in Arlington, TX, the Customer Service Representative will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the General Manager to meet customer specifications.
This role requires a highly energized, engaging, and detail-oriented individual who can professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing exceptional service and resolving issues promptly.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
Professionally interact with internal and external customers via in-person, email, and phone, providing timely updates and resolving issues with a positive attitude. Actively liaise with the operations team, assisting in scheduling and maximizing customer satisfaction while balancing Bodycote's benefit as needed/required. Responsible for creating or adjusting accurate quotes and pricing for orders, ensuring customer satisfaction while maximizing Bodycote's growth potential. Perform invoicing transactions in the ERP system and in customer portals. Reviews Purchase Orders and contracts with discrepancies and follows up with clarifications via phone, email, or other communication. Responsible for customer order follow-up and status. Assists with scheduling/prioritizing jobs based on customer needs. Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping. Performs other tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond. May have access to proprietary and third-party information necessary to the business, and as such will perform duties ethically and professionally. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage. This position will be required to perform essential Order Entry and Shipping/Receiving functions on a backup basis, including the operation of a forklift. Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism. This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders. Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2-5 years' experience in customer service or related position. Requires knowledge of computer applications and a good understanding of basic math. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required. Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment. Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions. Ability to bend, pull, and reach to perform functions. Ability to lift 25-30 lbs. May be exposed to heat, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc. Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc. Ability to hear in person and via phone.
