Senior Accountant

Fox News has an exciting opportunity to be a Senior Accountant! This Senior Accountant role offers the opportunity to drive impactful month-end and quarter-end close processes, perform high-value financial analysis, and contribute to shaping best-in-class accounting policies. A Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and efficient preparation of monthly and quarterly financial deliverables including, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, statements of Cash Flows, Corporate Disclosure requirements
  • Lead and monitor the month-end and quarter-end accounting close to ensure deadlines are met and all items are recorded
  • Conduct financial analyses, including variance analysis and forecasting
  • Review and approve monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting
  • Provide training and oversight of junior Accounting staff as needed
  • Review accounting policies and processes; assist in research, development, and implementation of new or updated company policies
  • Assist process owners in the documentation and testing of SOX controls
  • Special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
  • Drive company initiatives and lead projects

What You Will Need:

  • 3+ years of general accounting experience and solid understanding of GAAP
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Full understanding and experience with general accounting, strong financial analysis skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Blackline and Workday
  • Familiarity with the media industry
  • CPA, or CPA path

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $92,000.00-100,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
