Overview

Administrative Assistant role at Apex Systems. This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Revenue Accounting Leadership Team. This individual supports employees in various locations across the state. The candidate must have demonstrated professional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Revenue Accounting Leadership Team.
  • Support employees in various locations across the state.
  • Collaborate, plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events/functions, and effectively communicate and coordinate with external resources and individuals.
  • Work with others to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of clerical/administrative/customer service experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Experience in invoice processing and expense account processing.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Oracle is a plus).
  • Experience in timekeeping.
  • Prior work with Southern Company or a contractor for Southern Company is a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and under pressure with limited supervision.
  • Effectively multi-task.
  • Experience planning events for large groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and interest in learning new skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

Software Proficiency

  • Required: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Desired: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reports, etc.).
  • Preferred: Enterprise Solutions (Maximo, MRS, Oracle).
