Duties
As an Accountant, GS-11 you will perform the following duties:
- The incumbent is responsible for carrying out professional accounting responsibilities in accordance with guidelines established by DHS/ICE.
- The incumbent performs activities that enable the agency to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Take action to achieve organizational financial and accounting objectives.
- Assist in determining the propriety of accounting transactions from federal funds.

For GS-09 Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
- Reviewing automated and/or manual accounting and financial management systems to find, review, or change accounting data in transactions files, ledgers, accounts, summary reports and financial statements
- Interpreting financial and accounting data to provide appropriate analysis for management's use in decision making.
- Reviewing guidance, memoranda, procedures, and instructions that cover the full spectrum of accounting and financial management issues.
