About Role

A growing digital advertising agency is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. The Senior Accountant will oversee core accounting functions that are critical to our agency’s financial health. This hands-on role manages everything from general ledger and financial reporting to payroll and operational accounting workflows. You\'ll be a key player in month-end close, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a hybrid opportunity located in midtown Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities Of Senior Accountant

• Lead the execution of the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses, escalating discrepancies as needed
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and smooth vendor/client coordination
• Administer semi-monthly payroll, including funding, benefits reconciliation, and compliance in collaboration with HR
• Collaborate with operations, client finance, and leadership to support efficient accounting workflows
• Support external and internal audits

Qualifications of Senior Accountant

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 3+ years experience
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks
• Agency/ Advertising, Public Accounting background preferred
