Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing essential accounting functions, including reconciliations, credit card processing, accounts payable, and financial reporting. This position requires a strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting systems, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Processing credit card transactions and reconciling related accounts.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Entering vendor invoices into accounting systems and ensuring accuracy of records.
  • Processing vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Utilizing Excel and QuickBooks for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Supporting month-end closing procedures and maintaining accurate general ledger records.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assisting with other accounting duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in place of degree.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high ethical standards.
