WHO WE ARE

JOSIE MARAN is a beauty brand rooted in the radical idea that you can feel good and do good — all while being completely, unapologetically yourself. We believe in ritual over routine, freedom over perfection, and emotional connection over industry noise. Our products are powered by Argan Oil and designed to nourish body, soul, and planet.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Manager, Brand Marketing to support the Executive Director in driving product innovation and brand growth. This role will help manage the marketing innovation calendar, coordinate cross-functional teams, and execute key brand initiatives across product management, creative campaigns, and go-to-market activities. The Manager will ensure timelines and deliverables are met, support the development of impactful assets and programs, and provide analytical insights to optimize both new launches and the core business.

  • Manage the marketing innovation calendar in partnership with the Executive Director and senior leadership, ensuring launches, sampling programs, promotional kits, brand merch and ongoing initiatives align with brand strategy and business goals.
  • Oversee the health and performance of existing products, identifying opportunities for refresh, repositioning, enhanced storytelling, and merchandising updates.
  • Draft and organize marketing briefs and sell sheets for new launches and assist with product positioning and messaging across all customer touchpoints.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Packaging, Regulatory, Education, and Sales to manage deliverables for launches and core programs, including copy/artwork routing, trademarks, and claims substantiation.
  • Manage Marketing’s role in the Product Gate system, preparing COGs and margin analysis for senior management approval to ensure all new launches meet brand margin requirements.
  • Coordinate before & after photography and claims support for both new and existing products, ensuring assets meet brand and regulatory standards.
  • Support pricing analyses and documentation in partnership with senior leadership to ensure market competitiveness and profitability.
  • Execute sampling, gratis, and promotional kit programs in collaboration with Marketing, PR, and Sales, ensuring smooth execution, accurate tracking, and on-brand delivery.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer/competitive trends to identify innovation opportunities and inform calendar planning.
  • Analyze sales data, product performance, and customer reviews to surface actionable insights for both new launches and the core business.
  • Partner with Creative, Social, Influencer, and Comms teams to bring 360° campaigns to life.
  • Write and manage creative briefs, ensuring assets are on-brand and strategy-aligned.
  • Support campaign concept development, content creation, and launch activations.
  • Analyze campaign KPIs and sales impact to evaluate effectiveness and optimize future strategies.
  • Develop reporting on post-campaign learnings to capture insights and optimize future marketing efforts.
  • Streamline processes and help drive best-in-class assets for launches and evergreen programs.
  • Create and distribute Campaign Toolkits to ensure cross-functional teams have access to consistent campaign assets and messaging.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of marketing experience (beauty, skincare, or CPG strongly preferred).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proven experience analyzing sales data and campaign performance to inform strategy.
  • Highly analytical mindset — comfortable interpreting consumer research and market insights.
  • Collaborative, team-first approach with cross-functional experience.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with campaign creative processes, asset development, and performance measurement.
  • Experience working with Sephora a plus.
