Role & Responsibilities
Barrows is seeking a dynamic Graphic Designer to support their expanding design team. This individual will be required to work alongside a larger creative team and interact across the board with clients, retail specialists and product designers. There is a need to understand the requirements and possibilities of design and apply a graphic skin of the various retail solutions that our product designers create.
They create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for physical or digital point of sale retail design. Brainstorming and coming up with creative solutions for briefs and presenting your work professionally to your team and client (sell your work to your team first).
In addition to bringing a killer attitude and energy, this individual must be able to:
- Engagement in interactive design sessions and brainstorms
- Receive briefs and design direction from studio traffic system assisting in a smooth handover from the client service and strategy teams
- Conceptualization and design research. Assisting in generating exploratory mood boards by gathering literature and internet resources
- Assist in generating concepts and visualizing them by sketching and / or mock-ups
- CAD modeling and CAD visualizations
- Be creative, adaptable to trends and conceptualize original ideas
- Develop your concept in Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
- Present your work in a client ready presentation for the account teams
- Work through reverts efficiently to finalize designs
- Be able to setup design for production in Illustrator
- Work well with the product design teams to ensure your designs can be produced correctly
- Creative storyteller who brings simplicity and user centricity
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Graphic Design
- Software literacy in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
- Brand experience
- Friendly and dynamic disposition
- Strategic thinker
- Ability to communicate with people
- A positive and respectful attitude
- Ability to work in the office 3 days a week
The salary range for this role is $60,000-$80,000*
*exact compensation will be determined based on individual experience
