Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and works closely with HR colleagues. The HR Coordinator acts as a dynamic partner, ready to take on new tasks and learn as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Partner with Manager, HRBP and Talent Acquisition Partner on recruitment, support applicant tracking, diverse recruitment, employment branding, candidate selection, and coordination with internal stakeholders and candidates.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Partner in administering the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); maintain accurate and timely job postings.
  • Onboarding: Prepare paperwork and schedules for seamless new-hire onboarding; coordinate with cross-functional departments; conduct new hire orientation; ensure new hires are informed of ESRT policies, procedures, programs, and benefits on day one; coordinate with IT for new hire setup; coordinate 30- and 60-day check-ins; coordinate seating charts and desk moves; complete Form I-9 and maintain I-9 files; prepare new employee files; drive onboarding improvements based on feedback.
  • Engagement: Responsible for employee appreciation and engagement programs; plan monthly events; support volunteer programs and internship programs; own HR Communication mailbox; act as liaison and culture carrier; maintain open-door culture.
  • Development & Training: Manage internal training compliance programs; coordinate communication about trainings; compile training reports; maintain knowledge of employment law and compliance strategy.
  • Retention: Support employee surveys, compile results, and distribute internal communications; contribute to policy development and update of employee handbook, directory, and organizational chart.
  • Offboarding: Maintain confidentiality during terminations; recover assets; revoke system access; complete termination paperwork; conduct exit surveys/interviews as applicable; ensure data accuracy and compliance in HRIS.
  • HRIS & Reporting: Own HRIS data, employee files, organizational chart, and electronic document management; produce and analyze HR reports; escalate issues and propose improvements.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; strong written and verbal communication; customer service orientation.
  • Working understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures; ability to perform in a high-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Human Capital Management platforms.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience; 1–3 years in corporate HR required; SHRM-CP credential desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work; ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

$65,000 - $75,000 a year. Salary is based on factors including education, experience, location, and certifications. ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses in addition to base salary.
