Overview

Maintenance Technician C (I) at Transdev in Hillburn, NY. This role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to an efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• A(S)E certifications recommended; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Work may involve long periods of sitting, typing, or computer use.
• Work environment will be indoor and outdoor.
