Overview
IT Support Specialist role in Columbus, OH. Base pay range $48,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, effective response times, and expert insight into general and sometimes complex IT support issues.
- Provide on-site and remote resolution of common IT issues (PC, Mac, Chromebook) and enforce non-automated IT security policies.
- Help enforce policies directed by IT leadership.
- Ensure SLAs are met while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Assist other IT support staff with operational procedures and troubleshooting issues.
- Resolve escalated and executive support tickets in a timely manner.
- Assist in creation and maintenance of detailed documentation for systems and processes for end-users and IT staff.
- Basic knowledge of Enterprise IT tools (Google Workspace, Slack, JAMF, Kaseya, BetterCloud, and others) strongly preferred.
- Ongoing evaluation and improvement of existing Service Desk processes and policies.
- Support technical and non-technical stakeholders and accommodate a rapidly growing team.
- Hardware and software asset management.
- Assist in staff onboarding and off-boarding, including machine imaging and account creation/configuration.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
- Strong customer service background preferred.
- Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Bettercloud and other major SaaS applications preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting PC, Mac, and Chromebooks for software and hardware-related issues both on-site and remotely.
- Basic knowledge of MDM solutions (JAMF, Kaseya).
- Ability to make data-driven decisions.
Skills & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant experience. IT-related certifications are desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to support physical IT infrastructure (computer, network, storage).
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must have a passion for AI and the ability to work with AI-driven technologies.

For OH-based applicants: The base salary range for this position is $48-60K. This compensation range is a good faith estimate as of the date of posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay depends on location, experience, education, skills, and other factors.
