Overview

IT Support Specialist role in Columbus, OH. Base pay range $48,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, effective response times, and expert insight into general and sometimes complex IT support issues.
  • Provide on-site and remote resolution of common IT issues (PC, Mac, Chromebook) and enforce non-automated IT security policies.
  • Help enforce policies directed by IT leadership.
  • Ensure SLAs are met while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Assist other IT support staff with operational procedures and troubleshooting issues.
  • Resolve escalated and executive support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of detailed documentation for systems and processes for end-users and IT staff.
  • Basic knowledge of Enterprise IT tools (Google Workspace, Slack, JAMF, Kaseya, BetterCloud, and others) strongly preferred.
  • Ongoing evaluation and improvement of existing Service Desk processes and policies.
  • Support technical and non-technical stakeholders and accommodate a rapidly growing team.
  • Hardware and software asset management.
  • Assist in staff onboarding and off-boarding, including machine imaging and account creation/configuration.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
  • Strong customer service background preferred.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Bettercloud and other major SaaS applications preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting PC, Mac, and Chromebooks for software and hardware-related issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Basic knowledge of MDM solutions (JAMF, Kaseya).
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions.

Skills & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant experience. IT-related certifications are desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to support physical IT infrastructure (computer, network, storage).
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must have a passion for AI and the ability to work with AI-driven technologies.

For OH-based applicants: The base salary range for this position is $48-60K. This compensation range is a good faith estimate as of the date of posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay depends on location, experience, education, skills, and other factors.
