Position Overview:
The Warehouse Associate will work within the warehouse and deliver all key components for assembly. They will need to be exceptionally detail-oriented to ensure our inventory is accurate for all customer-built boats.
Essential Functions:
- Kit and/or store items in a safe, orderly, and accessible manner in warehouse, production areas, or outside designated areas.
- Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
- Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.
- Unpack items and stock shelves using ladders, pickers, and forklifts.
- Verify inventory counts by comparing physical counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate inventory techniques are used at all times.
- Mark stock items with labels, tags, or stamps as required.
- Maintain records of inventories, shortages, shipments, and goods used or issued.
- Follow all job instructions, reading and providing verbal or written updates.
- Handle hazardous materials following all applicable statutes.
- Count accurately to prepare orders.
- Pull parts from stock and pack for shipment.
- Coordinate with Customer Service regarding shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents like Bills of Lading and Hazardous Shipment Declarations.
- Prepare and package spare parts orders per specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or 1+ years of related experience.
- Adherence to safety and quality standards, including PPE use.
- Basic math and counting skills, attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Knowledge of good packaging practices and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in shipping.
- Haz-mat certification or knowledge.
- Self-motivated, high-energy individual.
- Skills in forklift operation, overhead hoist, and computers.
Working Conditions:
- Use of PPE such as gloves and hard hats.
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment, standing, bending, reaching for 10+ hours.
- Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work in dusty, noisy environments, possibly in extreme temperatures.
- Overtime work may be required.
Shift and Compensation:
This position typically involves a 4-day, 10-hour workweek. Overtime may be scheduled as needed. Night shift differential is available. The pay range is $17.00 to $25.85 hourly, depending on experience and location.
