The Greenridge Group, a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team. We deliver fully integrated Program management solutions to both public and private sector clients, including serving as the prime contractor for several public sector clients.

About the Role:

The Construction Inspector will support LAWA’s Tenant Improvement Program and serve as a member of the Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection Division. This role primarily focuses on building and terminal construction disciplines, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.

*Salary Range: $150K/Year-$160K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of building/terminal projects, ensuring compliance with LA City Building Code, ADA requirements, and LAWA standards.
  • Review and interpret construction documents including blueprints, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Prepare detailed daily inspection reports documenting progress, issues, and deficiencies.
  • Verify contractor compliance with codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Support special inspections and testing, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies.
  • Track and document time-and-material work, field changes, job quantities, and assist with validating contractor progress payment requests.
  • Inspect demolition and building construction activities including: excavation, shoring, structural backfill, concrete work, framing, drywall, ceilings, doors/hardware, and finishes.
  • Work in terminal environments requiring long walking distances, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and confined space entry when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of building/terminal inspection experience.
  • Knowledge of LA City Building Codes and ADA requirements.
  • Cal-OSHA 30-hour training and certification.
  • Confined Space Awareness certification.
  • Training in fall protection equipment.
  • NFPA 70E certification required for electrical inspectors.

Qualifications

  • ICC certifications and/or Deputy Inspector Licenses.
  • Experience inspecting large-scale public/airport building facilities, including steel and concrete structures, architectural finishes, and terminal operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, construction standards, and best practices.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) and tools such as MS Office, Outlook, Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, PM Web, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work day, swing, or night shifts, including weekends, and overtime as required.
