Overview
Head of Human Capital Operations, Principal at Cerity Partners. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Capital Operations to join our Human Capital team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of Human Capital services, leveraging technology, data, and efficient processes to support our growing firm. The Director of Human Capital Operations will be a strategic leader, overseeing a high-performing team and driving excellence across all facets of Human Capital operations, including our HC tech stack, data analytics, process optimization, employee servicing, colleague lifecycle workflows (onboarding/offboarding), and M&A integration. Responsibilities
Human Capital Technology & Systems (HC Tech Stack) Develop and execute the Human Capital technology roadmap, evaluating, implementing, and optimizing HCIS (Human Capital Information Systems) and other Human Capital platforms to enhance efficiency and employee experience. Ensure data integrity and security across all Human Capital systems. Act as the primary liaison with IT and external vendors for Human Capital system-related projects and issues. Continuously review how to scale and optimize the organization through the use of our HC Technology. Human Capital Data Analytics & Reporting (including Predictive Analytics) Establish and maintain robust Human Capital data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities. Lead the development of key Human Capital metrics and dashboards to provide actionable insights to Human Capital leadership and business partners. Utilize data to identify trends, forecast needs, and inform strategic decision-making, including predictive analytics applied to human capital data (e.g., turnover prediction, talent forecasting, workforce planning). Human Capital Processes & Policies (including Colleague Lifecycle Workflows) Design, implement, and continuously improve Human Capital operational processes to drive efficiency, compliance, and a positive colleague experience. Optimize and automate key colleague lifecycle workflows, including onboarding for new hires, internal transfers, key HC year-end activities, promotions, and efficient offboarding procedures for departing employees. Ensure Human Capital policies are clearly documented, communicated, and consistently applied across the organization, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Human Capital Ticketing & Servicing Oversee the Human Capital service delivery model, including the ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolution of employee inquiries and requests. Implement best practices for Human Capital shared services, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. Develop and monitor SLAs for Human Capital operations. Leadership & Team Development Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Human Capital Operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence. Provide strong leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities for direct reports and the broader team. Champion a customer-centric approach within the Human Capital Operations function. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Capital Operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in managing and optimizing HCIS (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and other Human Capital technologies. Demonstrated experience with Human Capital data analytics, including familiarity with statistical methods and predictive modeling concepts as applied to human capital. Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret Human Capital data, generate insights, and present findings clearly. Extensive experience in Human Capital process improvement, policy development, and compliance, with a focus on onboarding and offboarding workflows. Familiarity with Human Capital service delivery models and ticketing systems. Demonstrated experience in Human Capital M&A due diligence and integration. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Compensation
