Overview

Residential Counselor ( Developmental Disabilities) at Vinfen As a Residential Counselor, you will provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small group residential setting or an individual living arrangement. You will work with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by building independence skills or increasing each person's quality of life. Responsibilities

Administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP). Implement treatment plans and assist people with activities of daily living, such as household chores and cooking. Strengthen residents' connection to their community by providing transportation for outings, doctor appointments, and shopping. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injury strongly preferred. Strong time management and writing skills. At least 21 years old and a valid US driver's license for at least 6 months. CPR, First Aid certification within 2 weeks of employment; MAP certification within 150 days. Safety Care within 90 days; CORI, references, national fingerprinting and driving record checks. Pay and Benefits
