As the Director of Manufacturing, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Machine Shop, Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities ensuring that the staff and overall operations meet the required standards of service, quality, and cost. The Machine Shop is equipped with roughly 18 CNC Milling and Lathe machines ranging from 5 to 9 axis. With a strategic, yet hands-on approach, you drive operational excellence, employee development, enhanced productivity, and continued innovation. Identifying opportunities to further enhance automation and technological initiatives is crucial to assuring that our production activities remain cost competitive. Base pay range
$145,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus Summary of essential job functions
Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes , aligned with the company's overall objectives, to enhance production efficiency and cost effectiveness, on time delivery, and quality. Lead, manage, and develop the Manufacturing Team
to ensure a high-performance culture. Strong communication, team building, coaching and motivational skills are key. Develop and manage the Plant and Facilities budget
including costs related to labor, materials and equipment. Recommend equipment upgrades and replacements, and capital improvement projects, as required for facilities and Manufacturing areas. Assure system for controlling tooling inventory and costs
is in place and effective. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments
to integrate new products into production and ensure seamless product launches. Drive continuous improvement initiatives , including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies, to optimize production processes and reduce waste. Ensure compliance
with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to health, safety, and environmental practices. Monitor production KPIs
and implement corrective actions when necessary to achieve targets. Foster a culture of innovation
and encourage the adoption of new technologies and practices to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. This position includes all other responsibilities
that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
(Mechanical Engineering a plus). Proven expertise in project management, precision machining and CNC operations/programming with Esprit . 10 or more years of manufacturing management experience , with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Experience with scheduling in a small to medium batch size environment
with extensive setups and prototyping. Proficiency in relevant software , such as CAD/CAM, ERP systems, TDM, and Excel. Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills . Focus on assuring employee growth
through internal and external training, thereby creating a talent pipeline for the future. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
with leadership of cross-functional teams are essential. Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and working with formal business/manufacturing information systems . Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
and adapt to changing priorities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. 10+ years of manufacturing management experience, with 5+ years in a senior role.
