This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products. The franchisee is a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If you are hired, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. Only the franchisee is responsible for employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters at the restaurant and will not receive a copy of your employment application or be involved in employment decisions.
Responsibilities
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager sets restaurant goals with leadership and creates a plan to achieve those goals. The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, helping them set goals, monitor progress, and provide coaching to improve their Departments. The General Manager may be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build the right team for the future.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience in high-volume locations. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
