Cleared Cloud Data Engineer (4610) at SMX (View all jobs) - Washington, DC. SMX is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role is 100% remote. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in DevOps, data and code pipeline deployments, automation scripting, data engineering, and experience with AWS technologies related to Data Analytics, Big Data & Analytics, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes. This role will collaborate with data engineers and developers for data transformation, loading, and cleansing, and will provide support for managing environments, schemas, roles, and access. There will be opportunities to develop creative solutions, data pipelines, dimensional data modeling, and data analytics in the future. The role engages with customers, third parties, and SMX engineers/architects to build solutions. This is a remote role supporting a Washington DC based team. Responsibilities

Technical support with AWS core services and data engineering products Deployment of new data pipelines, updating code via pipelines, and maintaining ETL components Communicate clearly with data engineering, data science, and architecture teams, both verbally and in written documentation Develop scripted solutions for deploying ETL and data pipelines using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, and other automation tools as needed Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Science, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field 3+ years of experience with AWS administration, Redshift, and SQL Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain Public Trust agency clearance Proficient in AWS Cloud Technologies such as EC2, S3, Redshift, Lambda, etc. Experience administering users, roles, security policies, etc. on AWS, including via federated identity Experience with Redshift administration and management Strong SQL syntax knowledge and use cases Bash and/or PowerShell scripting Ability to read and understand Python code Experience with ETL tools Experience with Reporting/Analytics tools Data manipulation and analysis Unstructured, semi-structured, and RDBMS data management Knowledge of SageMaker deployments and management Desired Skills & Experience

Certification related to any of the AWS technologies listed above Understanding of DevOps practices Version control systems (Git, TFS, Azure DevOps, etc.) Knowledge of IaC products such as CloudFormation or Terraform Python development experience Some network knowledge Some Windows or Linux system administration knowledge Application Deadline:
