Talent Acquisition Partner II - Contract to Hire | Long Beach, California, United States Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more to open access space. We support scientific exploration, Earth observation, climate initiatives, national security, and new technology demonstrations. Based out of Rocket Lab’s headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates to fill highly critical roles. This is a full life-cycle recruitment position – you will own sourcing, screening, and extending offers. As a senior member of the TA team, you will help fulfil our mission to open up access to space by hiring innovators who will support our expanding programs. This is a 6-month fixed-term role for immediate hire, with potential to convert to full-time employment upon term completion. What you’ll get to do
Serve as a strategic hiring expert and partner to hiring managers and business unit leaders Partner with hiring managers to determine the requirements and expectations for open positions, and the qualities of the ideal candidate Manage the full hiring life-cycle, from sourcing and screening to extending offers Screen candidates for open roles and guide them through the interview process Build a diverse pipeline of talent, including passive candidates, through sourcing, cold calling, phone screens, and networking Utilize our ATS (Greenhouse) to build reports and analyze key metrics on recruiting activities to drive process improvements You’ll bring these qualifications
2+ years of full-time recruiting experience These qualifications would be nice to have
5+ years of full-time recruiting experience preferred Agency and in-house recruiting experience Experience recruiting for the aerospace & defense industry Experience recruiting for high-volume nonexempt roles and/or engineering roles such as: production, manufacturing, test, mechanical, electrical, systems, propulsion, etc. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting high-performing teams Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with hiring managers at all levels, as well as candidates and external partners Previous experience sourcing for highly technical and niche roles Additional requirements
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing. Must be physically able to commute to buildings Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise. Base pay range (CA only): $36 - $54 USD What to expect
