The

Senior Power Systems Consultant

will join Grid Software’s Power Technologies International (PTI) team. This role is critical to the planning and integration of renewables, storage, and FACTS to the electrical grid. Responsibilities include performing large-scale simulations of electrical transmission systems for Utilities, RTOs, and energy asset owners to develop solutions for safe and reliable power system operations.

Responsibilities include:

Leading consulting engagements related to power grid analysis, system dynamics, and grid code compliance.

Managing project execution, tracking progress, and adjusting scope, schedule, and budget as needed.

Maintaining client relationships and identifying opportunities for further business.

Supporting proposal development with project plans, budgets, and timelines.

Mentoring junior consultants and developing automation scripts to improve efficiency.

Delivering on-site consulting and training services.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power and Energy Systems.

At least 5 years of experience in power systems analysis for utilities, ISOs, RTOs, or developers.

Experience with power flow and dynamic stability analysis tools such as PSSE, PSLF, or PowerWorld.

Knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and regional planning criteria.

Strong communication skills and experience in technical report writing.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%).

Preferred qualifications:

Prior consulting experience.

Experience in MISO and/or SPP regions.

Experience with transient analysis tools like PSCAD or EMTP-RV.
