Job Description

The Production Planner is essential to the smooth execution of manufacturing operations, responsible for creating, managing, and refining production schedules that maximize resource efficiency and ensure on-time product delivery. With at least five years of experience in manufacturing planning, this role demands strategic insight, technical expertise, and leadership in a dynamic, detail-driven environment.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, data-savvy professional who thrives in managing multiple priorities, working across departments, and proactively identifying and resolving issues. This person will play a key role in enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and maintaining consistent production flow.Primary Duties

Scheduling and Planning Create and update production timelines to optimize workforce, materials, and machinery usage. Track short- and long-term production goals and make adjustments to align with business needs. Forecasting and Data Analysis Examine past production metrics, sales projections, and market indicators to forecast demand and guide planning decisions. Leverage ERP/MRP platforms to support scheduling and extract actionable insights. Workflow and Process Improvement Continuously evaluate and refine production processes to boost efficiency and reduce bottlenecks. Cross-Functional Communication Act as a key point of contact between departments, including Production, Procurement, Engineering, Inventory, Industrial Engineering, Sales, and Quality Assurance. Quickly address issues such as delays, material shortages, or equipment malfunctions. Develop backup plans to minimize impact and keep production on track. Reporting and Documentation Maintain accurate records of production schedules, changes, and outcomes. Produce regular reports on performance metrics such as efficiency, delivery timeliness, and inventory turnover. The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (preferred). Experience working with complex, multi-level Bills of Material. Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Minimum of five years in a production planning or similar manufacturing role. Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, process optimization, and inventory control. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and convert findings into strategic plans. Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure. What's on Offer
