This position provides support to analyze and project financial impacts associated with management decisions and changes in the business environment for use by various departments, senior management, and agencies external to the business unit. The role involves managing and analyzing data, developing reports, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of project tracking and capital planning processes. This position also involves ad-hoc and recurring tasks such as preparing Board of Directors meeting materials, Company Scorecard reporting, and data requests from Regulatory, Property Accounting, and Financial Planning. Additionally, it includes participation in interdepartmental initiatives aimed at enhancing the company's data-driven approach and improving process efficiency. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Management and Reporting Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to track project progress, costs, and other key metrics. Utilize tools like Power BI to transform manual data extraction processes into efficient, automated workflows, reducing data processing time significantly. Create dynamic and insightful reports to support decision-making and project adjustments. Aggregate data using enterprise systems such as SAP and Oracle to assist in completing data analyses in support of capital planning/forecasting activities and create and coordinate financial records to support rate case requests.

Project Tracking and Analysis Monitor and update the status of engineering projects, including pipeline replacements, construction activities, and capital expenditures. Analyze project variances and provide detailed reports on actual versus estimated costs. Collaborate with project planners and engineers to ensure accurate and timely updates to project data.

Collaboration and Communication Work closely with colleagues in engineering, operations, and contract services to gather and verify data. Communicate project updates and data insights to stakeholders, including senior management and external partners. Facilitate regular department meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and upcoming initiatives. Participate in interdepartmental projects and initiatives that are aimed at improving process flows and the use of available company data.

Financial Analysis and Support Ensure that budget reports accurately reflect expenditure and related transactions to assure useful management information and sound budgetary control. Assist management in developing and monitoring budgets by providing meaningful budget information and ad-hoc reports that deliver insightful and actionable data.

Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline data management and reporting processes. Develop and document standard operating procedures for data handling and project tracking. Provide training and support to team members on data tools and reporting techniques.

Ad Hoc and Recurring Work Work on Board of Directors meeting materials, Company Scorecard reporting, and data requests from Regulatory, Property Accounting, and Financial Planning.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, data science, business analytics, information systems, or a related field. Analyst Level I 0-2 years, Level II 2-5 years, Level III 5-10 years, Level IV 10+ years Proficiency in data management, analysis, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access, as well as with data visualization tools like Power BI. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the utilities or engineering sector. Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
