Full Time, Exempt Position

Starting annual salary range is $150,000 - $165,000

York County Community Action Corporation is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and integrity of the organization, in alignment with the agency’s mission. With the CEO, CPO and department directors, the CFO ensures the growth and financial sustainability of the agency and its departments. The CFO oversees the Fiscal Department and ensures fiscal accountability, compliance with grant and contract requirements, compliance with laws and policies, and financial reporting.

The CFO works closely with the Board Treasurer and supports the Board Finance Committee. The CFO keeps the CEO and Board informed about financial matters and system performance. As a key advisor to the CEO, the CFO may act on the CEO’s behalf and lead the organization when the CEO is unavailable. The CFO also represent YCCAC in financial matters with auditors, funders, service providers, and the community.

Responsibilities

Oversee financial strategy, operations, and integrity of the organization in alignment with the agency’s mission.

With the CEO, CPO and department directors, ensure the growth and financial sustainability of the agency and its departments.

Oversee the Fiscal Department and ensure fiscal accountability, compliance with grant and contract requirements, compliance with laws and policies, and financial reporting.

Work closely with the Board Treasurer and support the Board Finance Committee; keep the CEO and Board informed about financial matters and system performance.

Act on behalf of the CEO when necessary and lead the organization in the CEO’s absence.

Represent YCCAC in financial matters with auditors, funders, service providers, and the community.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; at least ten years’ experience in a senior financial management position; five years of supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of fund accounting, grant management, and compliance.

Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Strong skills in financial software systems, data analytic tools, forecasting, spreadsheets, and word processing software.

Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center, Community Action Agency and/or federally and state funded non-profit organization is strongly desired.
