EY’s Analytics and Data team is seeking a Master Data Management Manager focusing on helping our clients define and drive data management strategy and technology implementation. This role demands a seasoned professional capable of defining a master data management design and delivering systems. The individual should guide clients through the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies. In this role, you will design and apply comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the lifecycle of data assets, perform maturity assessments on data management capabilities, and advise on tools and roadmaps. You will articulate information strategies that align with business objectives.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. Responsibilities

Develop solutions to complex problems, including functional and technical design of master data management software for key data domains such as customer, vendor, finance, and materials

Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Manage project status and deliverable completion while ensuring effective risk management

Guide clients in defining a data governance strategy including data quality, data catalog, master data management, analytics use cases, readiness for AI/ML, and systems alignment to leading ERP and CRM applications

Data Integrity Assurance: Implement cutting-edge data quality tools and processes to maintain data standards

Engage in requirement gathering, interpret BRDs, and collaborate with system analysts to develop source-to-target mappings

Involved in strategic design, implementation, and optimization of data management solutions using Informatica and related tools to drive governance and integration across the enterprise

Data Scrutiny: Conduct thorough examinations of data prior to migration into data warehouses and generate technical specifications aligned with BRDs

Lead multiple engagements simultaneously to deliver high-quality services and client satisfaction

Architecting, pipeline building, RFP responses, creating new solutions, conducting workshops, and managing in-flight projects

Skills And Attributes For Success To thrive in this role, you will need a blend of technical and interpersonal skills. Your ability to build and manage relationships will be crucial, as will your capacity to communicate with impact.

Minimum 8 years of direct involvement with MDM tools including SAP MDG and/or Informatica MDM

Experience leading delivery teams in data governance, data management, and related system implementations

Knowledge of future industry trends and the ability to articulate these to customers

Benchmark design, development, and delivery knowledge

Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS and Azure)

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues and drive business outcomes

Ability to research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, technology assessments, and forecasts

Demonstrated expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management

Strong understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy

Proven ability to lead teams and manage change effectively

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree required (4-year) in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or a related technical or scientific field

ERP implementation experience including full SAP implementation with SAP MDG as a component

Typically, no less than 6 years relevant developer and architect experience in master data management software

Strong understanding of Data Governance principles

Experience with Enterprise IT Architecture

Leadership experience managing a portfolio of large, complex projects

Valid driver’s license in the US; willingness to travel internationally

Track record of successful stakeholder engagement and growing business relationships

Ideally, you’ll also have
