Position Summary We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to lead the financial governance, compliance, and operational setup of our US entity. This role will be instrumental in bridging our India headquarters and US operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and operational clarity.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Compliance

Establish and maintain governance frameworks for the US subsidiary.

Ensure full compliance with US federal, state, and local financial regulations.

Collaborate with legal and tax advisors to support entity formation and ongoing compliance.

Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls for the US entity.

Partner with India HQ to align financial practices and reporting standards.

Support audits, tax filings, and other statutory requirements.

Define and clarify roles and responsibilities between US and India finance teams.

Maintain a strong dotted-line relationship with the India finance team and CFO.

Serve as a liaison between US operations and India HQ for financial and operational matters.

Operational Support

Provide financial oversight for sales operations and business planning.

Support the setup of financial systems, tools, and processes for the US entity.

Contribute to strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.

Proven experience in setting up and managing a US business entity or subsidiary.

Strong understanding of both US and Indian business cultures and regulatory environments.

Experience working in India and transitioning to a US-based start-up or subsidiary is highly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with evolving responsibilities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional and cross-border settings.

Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with global leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.

Experience in start-up environments or high-growth companies.

Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and financial reporting tools.
