NRI Legal Resources is working with a respected and growing law firm in Washington, D.C., to identify a dynamic Criminal Defense Attorney with trial experience and a passion for advocacy. About the Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-energy legal team committed to excellence, integrity, and fighting relentlessly for clients in local, state, and federal courts. The role involves managing serious felony and misdemeanor cases from arraignment through trial. Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in criminal cases across local, state, and federal courts Handle all stages of litigation, including investigations, motion practice, plea negotiations, and trials Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs Advise clients on legal rights, defense strategies, and case developments Appear in court for hearings, arguments, and trials Collaborate with attorneys, investigators, and legal staff to build strong defenses Maintain regular and transparent communication with clients Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active D.C. Bar membership in good standing 3-5+ years of criminal defense experience, including substantial trial exposure Excellent oral advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail Strong commitment to ethical, client-focused representation Compensation & Benefits
