Job Description - Sr. Cisco Network Architect | 1 year contract
We are seeking a Sr. Cisco Network Architect to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of enterprise network infrastructure. This role oversees complex LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, ensuring optimized performance, scalability, security, and alignment with business needs. The Architect will coordinate technology selection, vendor management, and documentation of network solutions across legacy and SDA environments.
Responsibilities Lead network strategy, design, implementation, and optimization of LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls, load balancers, DNS/DHCP, and VPNs. Serve as a hands-on technical expert and advisor to executive leadership on infrastructure planning. Define standards, best practices, and documentation for enterprise network solutions. Evaluate and select vendors, procure equipment, and manage subcontractors. Install, configure, and maintain network equipment; manage upgrades, patches, and performance monitoring. Design and deploy legacy and SDA networks (DNA, ACI) and integrate Cisco Client policies for NAC. Lead complex technical design discussions, troubleshoot advanced routing issues, and optimize large-scale networks. Stay current with networking and cybersecurity trends and deploy best practices across the organization. Required Experience & Skills
10+ years in enterprise network design, implementation, and support. Strong Cisco expertise: routing/switching, firewalls (NGFW), wireless, DNA, ACI, Cisco Client/NAC. Experience with F5 load balancers, Infoblox (DNS/DHCP), /Radius, and complex network environments. Proven ability to lead complex technical discussions and optimize network performance. Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. CCDP or CCNP (Routing & Switching, Data Center, or Wireless). Cisco DNA, ISE, ACI, and NAC expertise preferred.
