Principal SAP Basis Consultant . This position requires an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose, and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology. Location of the requirement is Foster City, CA. The role may require travel to project/Client location. Hands-on experience as a SAP BASIS consultant; built and run SAP environments on both on-premises and cloud environments. Work with SAP and implementation partners to understand latest technical solutions and deploy fit-for-purpose solutions that are scalable and meet performance requirements. Define and deliver ERP technical requirements and ensure they are scoped appropriately within projects. Strong networking knowledge to manage SAP environments in DMZ using internal and external resources, foster talent able to deliver solutions securely using SAP Certified SSL capabilities. Stay abreast of latest industry and technology trends to ensure client utilizes the latest innovations. Responsible for ensuring solutions are built, tested and cutover into production environments. Provide IT support for delivered solutions; coordinate to get the right solution deployed at the customer SAP estate. Manage a team of hands-on technical resources that deliver and support solutions. Establish strong governance processes to maintain integrity of the solution, minimizing customizations. Manage budgets, driving value out of software and services contracts. Deliver to agreed scope. Ensure scope is controlled through effective program governance. Collaborate with Business Solution Architects to promote standard, out-of-the-box solutions. Ensure quality meets compliance requirements. Strong hands-on SAP HANA implementation experience with a solid understanding of service operations to ensure smooth transitions to operations. Proven track record and 15+ years’ experience delivering in a complex ERP environment; experience as Solution Architect for SAP solutions; managed end-to-end SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, B/4HANA implementations. Landscape management (public & private cloud), transport management, patching, upgrades, security from cyber-attacks, Solution Manager, technical monitoring, capacity management and sizing; strong hands-on experience in HANA, MaxDB and Sybase databases. S/4HANA implementation or conversion experience. SAP S/4HANA, OSDB migration certifications. Able to manage senior stakeholders up to Director level. Experience managing large technical teams in complex, multinational projects (leading internal teams, 3rd party and external partners). Ability to influence and lead within a matrix organization to shape and deliver business plans and roadmaps across business lines, collaborating closely with leadership. Ability to develop sustainable relationships with key senior stakeholders; ability to network within IT and business environments. International team management; able to assimilate and coordinate various cultural gaps respectfully. Experience building effective teams and holding them accountable for results. Implementation of S/4HANA, B/4HANA, Central Finance, Ariba and SAP Hybris (C/4HANA). Good knowledge of IT business processes in deploying SAP solutions.
