Insurance Eligibility Specialist
to join our team. In this role, you'll ensure patients have the insurance support they need by verifying eligibility, completing prior authorizations, and clearly communicating coverage details. You'll play a key part in making sure our patients feel informed, supported, and ready for their appointments. Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Highlights of the position:
Serves as ambassador for PCHC and the Audiology Team, representing the organization's mission in both external and external communication. Verifies daily insurance eligibility and ensures accurate documentation in patient records. Completes prior authorizations for both commercial insurance and MaineCare. Communicates with patients in advance about coverage details and estimated costs, providing clear and compassionate support. Collaborates with billing technicians and other staff to resolve coverage anomalies or errors. Provides in-person assistance to patients with insurance questions related to their treatment plan. Ensures registration information is complete and accurate before patient check-in. Maintains organized records and files to support smooth workflows. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of physician billing experience in a health care organization required. Knowledge of insurance carriers required.
