The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency that provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Administrative Assistant 4 to provide advanced administrative support to senior leadership and ensure efficient daily operations. This role requires discretion, initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision. An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies: Accepting Direction: The ability to accept and follow directions from those higher in the chain of command. Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas. Demonstrating Accountability: The ability to accept ownership for your actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions. Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Job Specification

Job Duties: Payroll: Monitoring time and attendance. Working with various agencies that are relative to student needs. Organizing and tracking student data. Working with outside vendors to secure necessary supplies and equipment that is necessary for effective operations. Inventory. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. The chosen application will be required to take a probationary appointment. Location: The Administrative Assistant 4 position is located at the SSP/North/Swanson Center for Youth in Monroe, Louisiana. Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday - Friday. Flexible work schedules may be available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position for which you are applying.
