Clearwater Analytics is hiring: Accountant in Chicago

Clearwater Analytics is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Finance team and will play a key part in supporting the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive approach to process improvement. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare month over month fluctuation analysis
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
• CPA or progress towards CPA preferred
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• ERP system experience (Netsuite preferred)
• Corporate expense reporting system experience a plus
• Strong data analysis, investigative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and Fintech industry experience a plus

Salary Range:

$80,000.00 - $95,000.0 + RSUs
