Theut Products, Inc. is hiring: Truck Driver in Romeo

Overview

Theut Products is a concrete and block producer, and building materials store with 6 locations in SE Michigan. We have been servicing the construction industry for 88 years and are looking to expand our reach. We are searching for qualified individuals to join our team of ready-mix concrete drivers. Locations include Romeo, Chesterfield, Richmond, Marysville, Marine City, and Croswell. We are willing to train qualified individuals with a valid CDL license and airbrake endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Transport concrete materials over land to and from manufacturing plants to job sites
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform some preventative maintenance
• Follow routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document load times & unload times
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Maintain proper concrete loads

Skills/Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a concrete mixer driver (Preferred)
• Ability to drive long hours
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
• Valid truck driving license
• Detailed and thorough communication

Salary: Up to $34.50 per hour
