Responsibilities

• Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do.
• Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions.
• Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times; recognizes fellow Associates via company recognition programs.
• Assists Customers in merchandise questions, is register-trained, greets customers with eye contact, smiles, and says hello and thank you at appropriate times.
• Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers; responds to Service calls and escalates to Store Leadership as needed.
• Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
• Performs cleaning tasks and replenishes supplies to maintain store areas.
• Maintains professional appearance and adheres to dress code.
• Performs daily sizing and recovery to keep store neat, clean, and merchandised to standards.
• Expedites newly received merchandise to the floor and follows monthly presentation guidelines.
• Understands Loss Prevention Awareness program and merchandise protection standards.
• Demonstrates integrity and safeguards confidential information, cash and merchandise.
• Follows MOS policies and proper disposal protocols.

Qualifications And Special Skills

• Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use Store equipment and spend up to 100% of time standing and moving.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; push/pull and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
