The Accountant will take the lead in managing crucial accounts including cash, investments, inventory, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records.

Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile accounts related to cash and investments, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported.
- Oversee the accounting for inventory, including physical counts, valuation, and reconciliation to guarantee accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Process and track prepaid expenses and accrued expenses, ensuring they are correctly amortized and reconciled on a timely basis.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, including recording journal entries, preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, and assisting with preparation of financial statement disclosures.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and assisting with audit inquiries.
- Assist in creation of best-practice policies and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and controls and implement risk-mitigating strategies.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the accounting leadership team.
- Enhance overall internal control environment and ensure SOX compliance and business adherence to control processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 2–5 years of prior accounting experience. Public and private accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Self-starter with analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solver who can work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and communicate effectively.
- Experience with NetSuite accounting software and warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

- This role will be in-person 3 days per week and from home 2 days per week.
