Senior Account Executive | Manufacturing Executive Search at The Judge Group

The Judge Group is seeking an Accountant with manufacturing experience (Food preferred) in the Bourbonnais, IL area.

This is a succession planning position and the right candidate will have a passion for learning the business to be ready to be promoted into a Controller position.

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Plant Controller with a focus on cost management and Financial Planning and Analysis while learning all areas of the operation (Manufacturing Operations, Financial Reporting, Capex, Investment Management, Budgeting, Internal Controls and Compliance, Reporting, etc.)
• FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis): Identify opportunities for cost reduction (Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, etc.)
• Run planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Track performance metrics and provide variance analysis
• Cost Accounting: create accurate cost accounting (Product Costing, Variance Reporting, allocation)
• Review bills of materials (BOMs)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting in a manufacturing environment (Food industry preferred) with at least 2+ years of costing experience
• Strong cost accounting experience
• Some proficiency with financial software, i.e. ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc. and strong Excel skills

Required Skills

• Understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls
• MUST BE: A US Citizen or a Green Card holder

Relocation

• Local only (A small relo stipend for local relocation candidates)
