Accountant Job at Insight Global in Natchitoches

We are seeking two detail-oriented and proactive Accountants to manage the day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of 70+ hotels. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, cash management, and tax compliance across multiple properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience (hospitality or multi-entity preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (team uses Sage)
• Ability to manage high-volume deadlines and prioritize effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Operations
  • Review and resolve errors in daily hotel reports
  • Monitor cash balances and prevent hotel account overdraws
  • Assist the Accounts Payable department with invoice and payment issues
• Monthly Close Process
  • Begin bank statement reconciliations by the 4th–5th of each month
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Complete financial statements for all hotels by the 10th of each month
  • Ensure 26 hotels are finalized and delivered to owners by the 12th
  • Finalize remaining hotel financials by the 15th
• Tax & Compliance
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Work closely with three supervisors who review ledgers and financials
  • Participate in review cycles, finalize reports, and revisit data for accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting

Compensation

$50,000 to $60,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
