JOB SUMMARY

The HRI Hospitality Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the HRI Lodging Centralized Accounting team with various financial statement projects, by ensuring that the financial operations provided by the company are executed at a sufficiently high level while remaining in compliance with applicable policies, standards, and procedures.

Qualification Standards

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospitality and/or Accounting with a 4-year college degree with an Accounting, Finance, or Business concentration.
  • Proficiency in the use of various property management system software platforms as well as Microsoft Office Suite is recommended.
  • Multi-Unit Accounting is preferred.

Skills

  • Must be able to work with, understand and interpret financial information, hotel operations data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Must be able to prioritize hotel or other departmental functions to meet all deadlines.
  • Must be effective in anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and consider adjustments to meet constraints.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

  • Main essential duties include, but are not limited to: General Ledger Entries, Cash Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Monthly Sales Tax Payable, and Monthly Financials Preparation.
  • Monitor hotel revenues/expenses and ensure accurate recording as per HRI Hospitality established guidelines.
  • Direct or prepare all financial reports in accordance with HRI Hospitality requirements, meeting various due dates.
  • Ensure that corporate-mandated policies, procedures, directives, and decisions are communicated fully and objectively to assigned hotels.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with HRI Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the various hotel assets.
