Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and support financial reporting and audits. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ledger reconciliations
• Month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare account reconciliations and financial statements
• Prepare internal and external financial reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Generate reports to support decision-making for management, including production performance, profitability, and operational efficiency
• Assist with external audits
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting
• Proficient in ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Must be a US citizen

• Costing experience (Standard, Average and Job Costing)
• Department of Defence contract experience
• Payroll experience
