About the Role: Time Out Market is a global food and cultural market leveraging the editorial curation of Time Out to bring the best of the city together under one roof: its best chefs, restaurants, bars, and cultural experiences. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to enhance our brand presence, drive footfall, revenue and brand awareness, and ensure a seamless, exciting experience for our customers and partners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and culture and have a proven track record of success across the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop – supported by HQ – and implement integrated marketing strategies that align with the company’s objectives and drive visitor traffic and brand loyalty.
  • Draft, implement and execute the local marketing plan and strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of public relations, including press releases and relations with media, influencers, and other industry leaders post opening. Act as the main point of contact with the local PR agency and manage day‑to‑day tasks and communications.
  • Manage Boston Time Out Market social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other relevant channels). Create and publish engaging content, working with in‑house teams, a third‑party agency, or Time Out Media depending on budget.
  • Plan and coordinate weekly, monthly and seasonal entertainment and events schedules to enhance visitor experience and promote the Market’s atmosphere. Collaborate with artists, performers, and Time Out Media teams on ideas.
  • Foster strong relationships with all chefs and concessionaires to align with Market standards and goals; act as the primary marketing liaison to support their promotional activities.
  • Oversee third‑party review platforms (e.g., Google My Business, TripAdvisor, Yelp).
  • Manage the Time Out Market website content, ensuring accuracy and up‑to‑date information.
  • Ensure marketing materials align with brand guidelines; assist in creating and editing promotional material.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to create activations and promotions to drive topline sales.
  • Create and manage newsletter content with the CRM Team – minimum of one newsletter per month.
  • Develop on‑brand content for digital screens; maintain and update content weekly with design and media teams.
  • Work closely with Time Out Media team on content, brand collaborations and networking opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on marketing campaigns and events using predefined KPIs; analyze effectiveness and ROI.
  • Identify and pursue potential partnerships while maintaining relationships with current partners; ensure a healthy pipeline with chefs and concessionaires.
  • Utilize data, trends and customer feedback to inform future campaigns and improve visitor experience.
  • Support incident/crisis responses with the team to safeguard the brand.
  • Coordinate with Time Out Market HQ on CRM flows, customer promotions and communications.
  • Attend onsite key events, activations and client introductions; collaborate with Events Team on marketing materials as needed.
  • Ensure customer-facing booking platforms and guest communications reflect the Time Out Market brand.
  • Coordinate, book and oversee all photo and video shoots for the Market (pre-opening and post-open).
  • Prepare the monthly marketing report for the Market.
  • Budget control: monitor and track all marketing spend; understand topline budget and EBITDA; ensure expenditures align with strategy and deliver ROI.
  • Define clear, measurable KPIs and review them regularly to ensure marketing effectiveness and business performance.

Qualifications

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in marketing management, preferably in hospitality, retail, or entertainment sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing marketing campaigns, PR initiatives, and brand activations across diverse geographies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage social media platforms and craft engaging content.
  • Experience in event planning and management.
  • Ability to work effectively across different geographies, cultures, and teams.
  • Strong networking capabilities with media, PR agencies, and market stakeholders.
