Overview

Graphic Designer

Black Diamond Family of Businesses – Marion, IL Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications

Position Overview

This hybrid Graphic Designer role blends visual execution with brand strategy. You’ll lead the design development of print, digital, event, and promotional materials across a diverse portfolio of brands including Black Diamond Harley-Davidson, Oasis Outdoors, Oasis RV & Motorhomes, Oasis Powersports, Mtn Dew Park, Kokopelli Golf Club, and Thrillville.

We’re looking for a talented designer who can think like a brand strategist, someone who enjoys contributing to the why behind the work as much as producing what goes to print or screen. You’ll be our go-to for everything from layout and typography to campaign concepts and creative brainstorming.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce marketing assets for both digital and print: signage, flyers, ads, social content, apparel, packaging, etc.
  • Work within established brand guidelines across multiple sub-brands, while pushing creativity and evolution when appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, marketing team members, and external partners to bring campaigns to life
  • Take part in creative strategy sessions to brainstorm concepts, develop themes, and storyboard visual storytelling
  • Provide layout and design support for presentations, sponsorship decks, pitch materials, and internal communications
  • Guide and mentor interns in design best practices (no direct staff management required)
  • Manage projects efficiently and independently, from creative brief to final file prep
  • Coordinate with print vendors, photographers, and videographers as needed

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in a graphic design or visual communications role
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); working knowledge of Canva and PowerPoint
  • Portfolio showcasing strong visual design, branding, and creative versatility
  • Ability to work on multiple projects across varied brand voices and business types
  • Experience working with brand strategy or messaging is a strong plus
  • Clear communicator who collaborates well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality

Why Join Us / Benefits

You’ll be designing for a truly unique business family: from high-octane motorcycle dealerships and off-road events to innovative sports complexes and concert venues. Every day brings a new creative challenge. You’ll be part of a growing in-house team with strong leadership support and a real stake in shaping the brands of tomorrow. There’s opportunity here, not just for great work, but for career growth.
