Description

The Human Resources Generalist role at Avid-ABA supports the director of human resources in day-to-day operations. Performs interviews for the organization and provides assistance with administrative support and guidance as needed.

Department: Office Staff

Location: Attendant Care Companies

Compensation: $45,000 - $52,000 / year

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight including coaching, mentoring, and coordinating annual performance evaluations.
  • Assists with developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for company personnel.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Assist in the responsibility and accountability for performing human resource functions for all aspects of the company.
  • Works with managers and schedulers to identify on a weekly basis staffing needs and to carry out the hiring process for new employees.
  • Interviews applicants at assigned locations and others as needed.
  • Serves as a resource to managers in teaching human resource functions for proper management of direct reports.
  • Proper and consistent monitoring of employee performance, including timely and accurate documentation, completing performance reviews and disciplinary action documentation.
  • Attending one-on-one employee meetings with managers who may be investigating reports or delivering a disciplinary action to employees.
  • Assisting with processing terminations.
  • Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining all employee personnel files in accordance with specific service line guidelines, state and federal laws.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the role and proves ability to be trusted with high-level information.
  • Participates in ongoing, professional self-development.
  • Participates in all mandatory education as offered by the company.
  • Identifies and communicates personal professional growth goals to leaders.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.

Experience: Three years direct Human Resources experience or related experience, One year recruitment experience

Required: Valid State of Michigan Driver's License and Auto Insurance
