Job Description

We are collaborating with our Chicago manufacturing client to find a detailed, energetic HR Specialist. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, passionate about people, and eager to grow in their career. Bilingual in Cantonese or Spanish is helpful.

Location & Schedule:

Onsite, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with some flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding
• Coordinate internal job promotions and interviews
• Perform data entry into HRIS for all employee changes; maintain HRIS accuracy
• Assist with benefits open enrollment, leave management (FMLA, STD, ADA, W/C)
• Recruit hourly employees, manage agency relationships
• Coordinate employee meetings and engagement events
• Serve as first contact for HR needs
• Support employee relations, including counseling and coaching
• Promote a positive, collaborative employee environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
• At least 3 years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
• Excellent communication skills
